In August 2019, Johnny was trapped in his fireplace and had extreme pain as he had never had.
Even though he went to one of his doctors, they told him nothing wrong, but he insisted that he tried another primary care doctor to get some answers.
Eventually, after discovering a doctor encouraged him to do an X-ray and learned that his 3 fractured bones were abnormal after falling to the 40-year-old, he was diagnosed with severe bone loss, which he did until At that moment, I discovered it but never discovered it. Meanwhile, his uncle recommended a surgeon, but when Johnny asked, he was told that his bones were not enough to meet the required rods and pins.
Johnny has lived in pain for years and was unable to take pain medication due to kidney problems.
Meanwhile, Johnny also started a new job: in the patient visit department of advanced pain care! On the first day of the first day, he headed to the round rock site and met patient ambassador Chester Jones, who was pointed at Josephine after talking about his chronic pain experience, To fill out his questionnaire he has been struggling with his past agreements.
After two months in advanced pain care, he met with Dr. Adams and prepared for a spinal cord stimulator test.
“It felt like the stupid luck I came here, working here, running into Chester, telling him my story, and finally getting a major relief from my years of life!” – Johnny

Testing, surgery and daily use
Patients are encouraged to stay at least 72 hours to obtain the full effect of spinal cord stimulators.
Johnny tells us that, apart from the slight reaction of the tape, “the trial is not bad.” “The pain from the time I woke up to the time I went home to 0 or 2, the pain from 10 (used to be). Just in the trial. ”
After the trial, Dr. Adams put a permanent spinal cord stimulator, which gave Johnny the same relief as the trial, and until now, he looked at the long term.
The use of spinal cord stimulators varies from person to person. While the stimulator itself doesn’t feel much, the patient can indeed increase or decrease the intensity according to its pain level. Some prefer to have a harsh feeling, some prefer to turn it off when they feel the pain isn’t that bad, and some prefer to keep it in the same environment.
“You almost forgot,” Johnny told us. “I carry it with me (controller) – and even now, it’s the top pocket of my scrub – but I rarely do anything about it.”
About Spinal Cord Stimulator
Who is it
Some of us have experienced short pains: sprained ankle, mild back pain after a long day outside working, or a particularly long day sitting at a desk.
However, many people suffer from chronic pain, dealing with the same persistent discomfort over the years, and after numerous regimens and multiple invasive surgeries, many people often feel discomfort.
For many people, sometimes spinal cord stimulators feel like another idea that doesn’t work, which is why we like to offer trials for qualified patients to feel it before putting it in.
Once the trial was conducted, we found that most patients couldn’t even wait for the entire trial period – they wanted to schedule an implant date!
How it works
One of the wonderful facts about spinal cord stimulators is that it helps patients with a variety of different pain areas: nerve damage, complex regional pain syndrome, spinal cord injury, heartache, neck injury, and even failed back surgery.
It can also be used with other more comprehensive pain management treatments such as physical therapy and relaxation methods, making it a real aspect of the overall lifestyle change of patients without the need to maintain other methods and side effects, such as multiple medications.

Before anything, your senior painkiller needs to determine if a spinal cord stimulator is actually a viable treatment option for your pain care plan. There are multiple departments within the APC and we recommend patients to patients (simple and easy to go through our multidisciplinary clinic!), but before confirming whether spinal cord stimulators are available, patients may undergo imaging and psychological assessments in order to give Their doctor provides the doctor with a pained look before making any decision.
If the patient is eligible for a spinal cord stimulator, one of our pain experts will implant the test and the external device will generate temporary electrodes in the desired area so they can try for a few days before committing to the implant.
After the trial period is over and the patient wants to continue using the implant, they will undergo an outpatient surgery, ranging from an hour where the generator is placed under the skin (rather than outside) and replace the temporary electrode with sterile electrodes by suture anchors. Certainly.
Johnny’s work at APC
